A hike happened, with 9 different ladies and only 1 common-denominator friend, thrown loosely together, after work on a Tuesday.
October happened, with leaves aflame and dusky evening skies. A bite to the air happened, too, and hoodies.
Spontaneous friendship happened, easy conversation, and an ever-growing feeling of comfort within my own skin. Silence or chatter, listening or learning, or just steady-going, one foot in front of the other and the air in my lungs.
The Living Room happened–finally getting to see what all the fuss is about and looking out over a city that I’ve come to call my own over the past 8 years. Sitting on rocks happened, and watching the natural light give way to bright dots and lines, flashing across the valley.
Wine happened, and water. Snacks and sustenance. Bright lights, big (little) city, laughter and sighs, a change of seasons, a change of pace, new experiences, old friends, and my little heart going tick, tick, tick. Good thoughts, bad thoughts, all of the feelings, and me. There I was.
